Trip Overview

Ghandruk is a small village situated in the lap of the Annapurna Ranges. Being a Gurung community and a standout village for homestays, you would possibly encounter the best remote lifestyle over there.

The Ghandruk village is culturally very rich. With that, it also provides you with beautiful views of the Annapurna range along with Mount Machhapuchhre, Gangapurna, and Dhaulagiri.

Not many years ago, you have to trek up to the Ghandruk village. Since there were no other options to reach out to that gorgeously nestled village. But now, with the service of transportation, the village no longer remains the trekking destination.

Instead, it became a hiking destination. You might even ignore doing a day of hiking to reach over there. But, we believe, even hiking down to the Ghandruk village is the best way to taste the beautiful synergy of the nearby village.

That is why, taking the advantage of the possibility of reaching there by vehicle, we prepared an itinerary with at least a day of hiking. That routes to Ghandruk, Landruk, and Pothana (three of the most beautiful villages of the Annapurna region).

Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu

Day 3: Kathmandu to Pokhara and sightseeing at Pokhara ( lakeside)

Day 4: Pokhara to Ghandruk Village and Ghandruk village exploration

Day 5: Trek back to Pothana and drive back to Pokhara via private vehicle

Day 6: Pokhara Sightseeing (You can extend the days at Pokhara as per your interest)

Day 7: Back to Kathmandu

Detail Itinerary

Day 1Arrival at Kathmandu

As per your flight schedule, we will pick you up at Tribhuvan International Airport. After that, we will drop you at the hotel and let you rest. We will, however, reconvene at the welcome dinner to go over the itinerary briefly.

Day 2Kathmandu Sightseeing

On this day, you will go sightseeing in Kathmandu. We will suggest some places, so you can choose where you want to go. You will be doing sightseeing at heritage sites in the Kathmandu valley.

Day 3Kathmandu to Pokhara and sightseeing at Pokhara ( lakeside)

On the very day of the Ghandruk trip, we would be leaving Kathmandu early in the morning. If you prefer to not spend too much time traveling, then you can choose to take a half-hour flight. Or, you could just travel there via bus. We would have our lunch and breakfast on the way. Upon reaching Pokhara, you could go sightseeing by yourself (around the lakeside only) and get back to the hotel for dinner. Hotel stay for one night

Day 4Pokhara to Ghandruk Village and Ghandruk village exploration

Ghandruk, as mentioned earlier, is a small Gurung village that is exceptionally beautiful. So, to reach there as early as we could, we would take a private vehicle early in the morning. Breakfast would be on our way. Since you will reach there for lunch, you will have time to explore most of the places in Ghandruk village. And, after enjoying one of the best cultural shows in Nepal, the Gurung community’s ethnic dance, we would go to bed. Ghandruk overnight stay

Day 5Trek back to Pothana and drive back to Pokhara via private vehicle

This is going to be one tough, remarkable, as well as unforgettable, day of your Ghandruk trip. Since it’s going to be a full day of hiking, you will be walking for quite a long time. Early in the morning, as soon as we had our breakfast, we would leave Ghandruk village and hike down to the hill to climb up another hill and reach Landruk village. We'd eat lunch on the way and then head to Pothana. Upon reaching Pothana, you can take a deep breath since we will be declaring the end of the day hike. From there, we would then leave for Pokhara. Stay in Pokhara for one night.

Day 6Pokhara Sightseeing (You can extend the days at Pokhara as per your interest)

Pokhara has a lot of places to go and see. You can choose your visiting points by yourself, or you could spend a few more days going and seeing all of Pokhara and participating in adventure activities. Night stay at Pokhara

Day 7Back to Kathmandu

This day will be our day to return to Kathmandu. Just as on arrival, you could choose to fly back to Kathmandu or return via bus.

Day 8Rest day

Today you will have a rest day. You can choose to have a relaxed day or go shopping. You can also use this day to visit the remaining heritage sites in Kathmandu. Night stay in Kathmandu

Day 9Departure

We will be dropping you off at the international airport as per your flight schedule. Before that, we will have breakfast or lunch together as we conclude your trip to Nepal.
