Trip Overview

Kathmandu valley has long been the center of culture, trade, and learning in Nepal. Among the major trekking routes of Kathmandu valley, the Balthali trek is one.

Balthali village trek is a popular trek around Kathmandu Valley, which normally could be completed in 2 days. But you can extend it up to 4 nights and 5 days.

The Balthali village, where this walk took place, is located to the east of Kathmandu. It is a little tranquil community and one of the rich cultural villages. That is located 40 kilometers from Kathmandu, just past Panuti town and Khopasi.

Since the region around Balthali is densely wooded with Sal forest, you could fully enjoy the jungle. With that, you can witness rhododendrons over there, covering the hill. Moreover, it provides a panoramic view of the Himalayan peaks on the northern horizon as well as verdant terrace farms.

Well, a trip to a pristine community like this surely gives a nice impression and is worthwhile for going.
