Panauti

Panauti is one small ancient town located on the eastern arena of Bhaktapur. The town though is small but it is filled with Jatras, temples and historical sites. Talking about Jatra make us remember the Chandeshwori Jatra and the great Makar Mela of Panauti that occurs once every twelve years.

There is Indreshwor temple, Bramhayani temple, Triveni and a perfectly suited tiny village. However, it seems only village in the name. The township is carrying this city into development and smart cities.

It would not take much time to reach there from Kathmandu. You can go, visit and return from there within a day.
