Bardiya Jungle Safari

Bardiya

Trip Overview

Bardiya Jungle Safari provides an unforgettable experience. This safari allows you to blend in with nature and see animals such as the one-horned rhino and the Royal Bengal tiger.

The Bardiya Jungle Safari takes place in the Bardiya National Park, which includes the Babai Valley, as the name suggests. The national park was established to protect representative ecosystems and conserve the habitat of the tiger and its prey species. It is the largest national park in the lowland Terai (968 sq km).

It does not, however, limit our activities to spotting tigers and rhinos. Instead, it allows us to enjoy birdwatching, jungle hikes, jungle safaris, fishing, or relaxing in nature. This trip is quite longer than Chitwan Jungle Safari. If you have less time on your hand but want to explore the lowland jungles of Nepal, you can also try Chitwan Jungle Safari.

Detail Itinerary

Day 1Kathmandu to Nepalgunj

This is the first day of our Bardiya Jungle Safari tour. We will take breakfast early in the morning and go to Tribhuvan International Airport. From there, we will take a flight to Nepalgunj because it is quite far from Kathmandu. Taking a flight would be more convenient than traveling via bus. After reaching Nepaljung, we will check into the hotel and have lunch. Following that, we'll have a village visit to a nearby ethnic Tharu community. Then, we will go to the Elephant Breeding Center and watch the sunset on the Karnali River's bank. Staying the night in Bardiya

Day 2Bardiya National Park Exploration

We would initially go for a forest walk after a relaxed breakfast. Till lunch, spend some time in nature. Following that, we'd go on a half-day tiger-tracking and bird-watching excursion. This may be the finest chance to see certain rare animals, including the Royal Bengal Tiger. Back to the hotel and dinner.

Day 3 Full day jeep Safari

We're going on a full-day jeep safari in the Bardiya National Park today. After that, we'd go to the crocodile breeding centre at the national park's entrance. You might see a diversity of plants and fauna on this day as well. Return to the hotel for dinner and enjoy a cultural performance by Tharu.

Day 4Leave Bardiya

Today will be our last day in Bardiya. You will be escorted to the airport for a journey back to Kathmandu with a nice departing breakfast.
