Pathibhara Tour allows you to explore both the natural and religious aspects of Taplejung. Pathibhara is a holy pilgrimage of Nepal, located in the eastern region of Nepal. It has an important religious significance. People say, “your wish comes true if you go to the Pathibhara temple and worship pure heartedly.” With this belief, pilgrims from all over Nepal and India visit the Pathibhara temple.

Besides religious values, it also bears natural beauty. It is a targeted destination for short hikers. The height of the temple makes it a perfect destination for wild panthers.

Passing through the green jungles and reaching the top gives a satisfying adrenaline rush to travelers. The scenes, that one can perceive from there is another main attraction of the tour. The site offers panoramic views of the eastern Himalayan ranges of Nepal. You can also discern the Indian territory, Illam, and nearby places from that height.

Although Pathibhara is a spiritual journey, one can cross the same path while trekking to the Kanchenjunga Base Camp. It comes across if you choose an alternative path to reach Kanchanjunga Base Camp beside the traditional trail.

Although most of your time on this trip will be on a vehicle, you can get to sightsee in Kanyam, Illam, and Sano Pathibhara temple.

Detail Itinerary

Day 1Arrival at Kathmandu

As per your flight schedule, we will pick you up at Tribhuvan International Airport. After that, we will drop you at the hotel and let you rest. We will, however, reconvene at the welcome dinner to go over the itinerary briefly.

Day 2Kathmandu Sightseeing

On this day, you will go sightseeing in Kathmandu. We will suggest some places, so you can choose where you want to go. You will be doing sightseeing at heritage sites in the Kathmandu valley.

Day 3Kathmandu to Kanyam

This is the first day of your trip to Pathibhara. It’ll be an all-drive day since Kanyam is far from Kathmandu. It might take 10 to 12 hours by bus alone. However, breakfast and lunch would be on our way to Kanyam. Kanyam will be the location for the night's stay and dinner.

Day 4Kanyam Sightseeing and transfer to Thulo Phedi

On this day, we would go to Antu Danda for a sunrise view. We would return to the hotel for breakfast. Then, we’ll head toward Suketar. Lunch will be on its way. From there, we’ll head toward Thulo Phedi. Stay the night at Thulo Phedi

Day 5Thulo Phedi to Pathibhara Temple and return to Illam

On this day, we will head toward Pathibhara Temple. It will take around 1-2 hours to reach there. It depends on your walking pace. After reaching the Pathibhara temple premises, we would roam there for around an hour and hike back to Thulo Phedi. After taking lunch, we will head toward Itahari. Stay the night in Illam.

Day 6Illam to itahari

On this day, we will either go to Antu Danda or Sano Pathibhara early in the morning. We would take breakfast at our chosen destination. Then, we’ll return to the hotel after sightseeing in Illam. After having lunch at Illam, we’ll head toward Itahari. Stay the night in Itahari.

Day 7Itahari to Kathmandu

This is the last day of our Pathibhara tour. We will leave Itahari after having a warm breakfast. Lunch will be on our way to Kathmandu. It will take around 9–10 hours to reach Kathmandu.

Day 8Rest Day

Today you will have a rest day. You can choose to have a relaxed day or go shopping. You can also use this day to visit the remaining heritage sites in Kathmandu. Night stay in Kathmandu

Day 9Departure

We will be dropping you off at the international airport as per your flight schedule. Before that, we will have breakfast or lunch together as we conclude your trip to Nepal.
